Keratin Hair Smoothing Treatment
Have you ever wished that your hair was more manageable? Softer? Smoother? Had more shine? Keratin Smoothing Treatment may be answer.
It's like skin care for your hair. Unlike other salon services, the more you treat your hair, the healthier it becomes. With each treatment, the build-up of Keratin makes the hair:
-
Softer and Silkier
-
Smoother and Shinier
-
Faster and easier to blow-dry
-
Reduces daily styling time
-
Protects hair from harmful UV rays
Further, the therapy encases the hair follicle with a keratin bond to promote healing and help keep environmental toxins such as smoke, pollution and ultraviolet rays, from entering the hair.
Keratin Smoothing Treatment is gentle enough to use on all hair types. A great time to have the treatment done would be directly after coloring or chemically treating the hair. The color will be sealed in, leaving the hair vibrant and extending the life of the color.
FAQs:
What is the Keratin Smoothing Treatment?
It is a specially formulated revitalizing and rejuvenating treatment for the hair that eliminates frizz and curl. The advanced patent pending formulation restores and restructures hair by infusing a special blend of natural keratin deep into the damaged cuticle. The keratin is bonded into the cuticle by the heat of the flat iron to relax the hair’s sub-cuticle layer.
How much time does it take?
Time is determined on an individual basis depending on hair length, type, and texture. Please allow a minimum of 2 hours.
What results can be expected?
The hair will be more manageable and take much less time to style. It will be noticeably softer and smoother, with added life and shine as well as lengthened look.
Can hair be colored before the treatment?
Yes! A great time to have the treatment done would be after coloring or chemically treating the hair. The color will be sealed in, leaving the hair vibrant and extending the life of the color. You must wait at least two weeks to treat your hair after coloring.
Can the treatment be done on chemically treated hair, or hair that has been straightened or relaxed?
Yes, you must wait a minimum of two weeks before using the Keratin Smoothing Treatment. For blondes, highlighted and damaged hair, we recommend a thorough consultation with a stylist.
How many days after the treatment before the hair can get wet or be washed?
You must wait 72 hours before washing your hair or swimming.
Can the hair be pulled back or clipped during the 72 hour waiting period?
No. The hair should not have any impressions made by using bands or clips.
What should be done if the hair gets wet during the 72 hour waiting period?
Blow the hair dry and flat iron.
What kind of shampoo and conditioner should be used?
We highly recommend professional Sulfate free shampoos and conditioners by Formula 18 or Aluram.
How often can the treatment be done?
The treatment can be done as often as every 4-8 weeks.
Is the re-application of the treatment done on the entire head or just on new growth?
The re-application should be done on the entire head as the build-up of keratin can only improve the hair texture.
How long will the treatment last?
The treatment lasts 2-4 months, depending on hair type and texture, provided the client follows all after care instructions.
Can the treatment be done on pregnant or nursing women?
After a doctor’s approval.
